The problem is is that you know, the more effective this campaign is, the more likely it is that Iran lashes out again and really does something that further hinders an already bad economy.
And so I think what we're starting to see over the last couple of days is that's happening, right?
So Iran continues to shoot its ships.
The United States responds by, you know, in this case saying if you shoot a ship, we're gonna seem to go to your tankers.
And then Iran retaliates again against, you know, uh
various targets, but most recently, you know, Jordan, our bases in Jordan.
And so all of this makes what Trump's trying to do, which is put things on a low boil, much hotter.
And you have now instead you have oil reaching, you know, the highest prices it's been, you know, in in several weeks or months.
And so, you know, this strategy of low boil pressure
isn't ultimately going to work.
And I think he's realizing them that and, you know, it's creating a very difficult situation for him.
Yeah.
I mean, let me say that with one caveat.
I think their reaction will be
Tailored to their perception of the threat.
So if this is truly existential, you know, regime threatening pressure.
Which, you know, it might be, right?
We have a blockade and, you know, potentially much more robust sanctions enforcement than before.
Then I think it's more likely that Iran lashes out and, you know, targets like Gulf energy infrastructure or something else that really matters.
They haven't done that to date.
