This is a really impactful move that hurts Iran.
You know, are they gonna capitulate?
No.
But this is also something that I expected them to lash out at their Gulf neighbors in response to, right?
This is what they kind of did in the first blockade.
And they haven't done that.
And that leads me to wonder
What kind of bilateral conversations are happening with the Gulf?
And Iran to keep that from happening.
So I'm curious about that.
I think the second issue to watch going forward is
What if this is just the new normal?
What if this is just the status quo for the end of Trump's term and
And those two questions probably go together.
I think at some point if the US is incapable of solving this problem, maybe the Gulf and Iran are just gonna make their own deals on the sides.
And you know, that's not
Great.
But it's certainly understandable from the goals perspective.
They can't have an open war with Iran.
They can't have Iran targeting the infrastructure expected to survive.
