It's a bad look.

No, I mean, again, and if circumstances had been different and Strauss had canceled and Morgan had drowned, then I'm sure right now we'd have conspiracy theories formed that Strauss had killed Morgan instead.

I mean, that's the thing about the conspiracy theories is that you can always just sort of shake them around to suit whatever weird coincidences happen to happen.

Yeah, and of course there was conspiracy theories about that one as well.

Yeah, I mean, it wasn't our proudest moment, but as a society, we did kind of dunk on that incident.

I mean, it is interesting that over 100 years later, the Titanic is continuing to claim the lives of wealthy people because, of course, that submersible imploded in the ocean while on a dive down to the Titanic wreckage.

And because of that, immediately, conspiracy theories started circulating that the whole thing had been faked or staged or that it was real but part of a planned assassination or a ritual sacrifice.

And here's a general rule.

The wider the conspiracy speculation, the less evidence there is for any of the particular conspiracies.

But a lot of people said maybe they were killed because they would have seen something in the wreck of the Titanic that proved that there had been a Titanic conspiracy.

But we don't need any kind of elaborate, intricate explanation for what happened to the Titan submersible.

It was built poorly with the wrong materials.

Although it is interesting that Titan Disaster actually does provide some insights into the Titanic disaster.

Not in the sense of conspiracy, but in the sense of how human choices can result in catastrophe.

I mean, because hubris, we're talking about hubris here.

Hubris, that's the word.

And it's interesting, there's a more reasonable hypothesis that actually there was an out-of-control coal fire in one of the boiler rooms when the Titanic set sail.

And this is backed up by historical record.

That sort of fire wasn't unusual at the time.

And at the inquiry afterwards, it turned out, yes, there had been a boiler fire.
