And then we started looking at the return of the asset class.
There's a few indices out there.
It's the gross return of franchise transactions back through time.
We'll go through what that looks like.
But we were like, oh, this is super interesting.
It's a growth asset that has private equity type returns, but then doesn't behave well.
Right.
The same way private equity behaves.
It's not that correlated to public markets or private markets.
So that's where we started to, you know, dive in and see, OK, what's really driving this?
I'll give four points that we thought were interesting and then we can kind of keep on keep on going.
But the first one that I think makes sports unique when we talked about the asset class from other ones is that it's the scarcity of the asset, you know, in the big four hundred and twenty four teams.
Right.
And it's controlled expansion by the league.
Right.
So that is that monopolistic, you know, kind of asset.
Right.
That actually drives some of the value of it.
The second thing in is which is also interesting, the media contracts.
So if we look at a contracted floor of revenues, that could be 45 percent on average across the big four that could be contracted for 10 years.
