I mean, we can put a question mark over that, but in theory they do.
And so they don't need to buy a new car.
Whereas people who live out in the sticks, like I grew up in West Cork and knows all too well that there is no public transport effectively.
So you're going to need a car.
It had better be electric.
That's all fine.
What happened last week was Dara O'Brien, the Minister for Transport, went on the radio and said, oh, yeah, this 10 million euro funding divided by 5,000 euro, that equals 2,000 cars.
Except after he said that, the Sustainable Energy Authority, the SEAI, popped up and said, well, actually, no, that's not how it works because this 10 million euro is also including the existing 3.5 million euro.
Sorry, €3,500.
So it was only going to be 1,100 cars.
Which is nothing when you consider that we're... For the fanfare.
Yeah, we're probably going to sell 30,000 EVs this year anyway without the grant.
So even at the 2,000 number, it's still a bit of a drop in the ocean, really.
But it's a help and it gets people talking.
And the idea is, because it's a pilot scheme and I'm doing inverted commas you possibly can't see at the moment, the idea is to stimulate conversation, stimulate.
And also, you know, get these cars on the roads, you know, get other people seeing them.
You know, if Joe or Mary up the road has bought one, then 10 of their friends will talk about it.
Yeah.
And it becomes more of a thing.
That's the idea.
