And it's kind of a form of personal lease.
It's not actually a lease, but it's kind of derived from the leasing idea.
And how a PCP works, I'll break it down as simply as I possibly can.
And bear in mind, I failed accounting in leaving, sir.
OK, so, you know, take that as being part of this.
Anyway, you pay a deposit.
Usually your deposit will be the trade in value of your own car.
Right.
Generally speaking.
You will then have an amount put by to the end of the loan term, which is what's known as the guaranteed minimum future value of the car.
Essentially, the car company and the finance provider has worked out what your car, the car you're buying, will be worth in three years' time.
And they set an amount that's a bit more than that.
so that you are guaranteed not to lose your shirt at the end of the term.
That sounds really good, and it is.
And then the chunk that's left in the middle between the deposit and between the guaranteed future value, that's the bit you finance, that's the bit that gets broken down into monthly payments, and that's the bit you pay.
You still have a lump sum to pay at the end.
Now, there's three things you can do when you come to the end.

What you can do, you can, and very few people do this, but you can hand back the keys.
