It's quite funny because in the UK right now, devolution is a real positive word.
Really?
So we use the word devolution to basically mean to decentralise power to the regions.
So it's a big thing.
You know, you make Manchester, where I live, its own...
more responsible for its own governance it's kind of similar to states rights in the uk in the us rather and there's a big push for devolution being one of the solutions to the the quagmire that we've reached politically so when i came across devolution as this kind of boogeyman of end times politics in your book i was kind of like oh isn't it funny how words have such different meanings

You've mentioned that.
And I'm going to try not to give all that many spoilers of the actual narrative trajectory.
I don't want to ruin the book for people, but we can talk about some of it.
And one of the things I noted is that the title Biological War, I was quite confounded early on because the actual biological hazard is,
arises from a lab leak rather than an intentional attack.
And then as it went on, I started to think of the war as more of an interior, as a domestic thing between the authorities and this increasingly desperate, panicked populace.
Is that what you meant, essentially, by the biological war at the end?
