And the reason I say that is because I thought they had five
really good starting pitchers, a tough back end of their bullpen with two starters that they could throw in their back end, and the ability to score in different ways.
And I do know that Toronto leads Major League Baseball in hitting with runners in scoring position.
So that's a feather in their cap, and they don't strike out a lot.
But I also know from reading that their bullpen has not fared well since, what, mid-July or thereabouts?
So the question is, do the starters that they moved to the bullpen in the playoffs suddenly shore up the bullpen?
Because it certainly did with Texas a couple of years ago.
They basically lived with Montgomery and Edovaldi as their two starters in the postseason.
And it was just kind of like everybody all hands on deck otherwise.
And that's the uniqueness of the postseason.
Everything that you do in the regular season is just washed away and you start fresh.
I guess to answer your original question, you know, when someone asked me at the beginning of the year, who do you think is going to win the division?
I thought Boston had the most talent, but I said any of the five teams can win and I can make a case for all of them.
So a lot of it comes down to health and performance.
And to this point, Toronto has been the healthiest and performed the best.
