I think he's going to be a better player for the struggles that he went through.

He never really struggled in the minor leagues.

If you look at his minor league numbers, he was extremely dominant.

Sometimes that can be very difficult for a big leader when you struggle for the first time in the major leagues.

I think having a veteran like Cedric Mullins around him certainly helped, and I think having a very supportive staff on the coaching staff

has allowed him to come out of this.

And I really think he's an X factor for the Rays.

You know, as good as the big three are in Aranda and Yandy Diaz and Junior Caminero, I think when Chandler Simpson's on the bases and creating havoc, it allows the offense to kind of jump to another level.

So, you know, I think that Chandler was one of the guys for the Rays who in that

Series, I thought, against Boston had some of the better, more consistent at bats, and hopefully that continues to carry over for him.

Well, I mean, if you look at Toronto, it certainly worked for them last year, right?

I mean, it put them within one play of winning a championship.

You know, I think the speed that the Rays have certainly helps, and they've started to pick up more stolen bases again.

I know that Valenzuela and Kirk can throw extremely well, and the Blue Jays are mindful of the running game.

But, you know, I think it's the combination of contact, speed, and athleticism.

And I think when those things are working, and if you're bunning well as a team and doing the little things, I think it allows, you know, it makes it harder.

You know, if you bunt effectively, if you run effectively, if you make good choices and put the ball in play, it's hard to defend.

It really is.

And it's a matter of getting into those spots and also when you're getting on base for –
