He actually, in the last start he had against the Yankees, thought his stuff was good.

He just couldn't find a way out of that inning.

So I guess we'll get a better gauge on it tomorrow and probably the start thereafter.

I think the Rays are certainly going to be as smart with him as they can because when he is pitching well, he's one of the best guys in the game.

It's pretty impressive.

I mean, you know, I've seen Carlos Pena and Evan Longoria and Brandon Lau have all been in runs.

I mean, Junior's a special, special individual.

And, you know, I think we were all worried when he got hit by a pitch by Briley O'Brien in that All-Star game, you know, that your first concern was a fractured finger, fractured hand, you know, and then you got the word that he was okay.

And then you're like, okay, he said he's okay.

But let's see how his swing looks.

And, you know, the home run in that doubleheader in game two certainly allayed all fears or worries that you may have had.

And now it's just a matter of, you know, how well does he continue to perform going forward?

You know, I still remember my most vivid memory of Junior was probably when he first came to Toronto with the Rays and the batting practice that he had at Rogers Center, like,

I mean, there were people watching in the stands and applauding.

It was so impressive.

He's got such incredible raw power, and I think he's only scratched the surface in terms of how good he can be.

I think he's going to get better and better.

Look, Dylan Cease is one of the best pitchers in baseball, and the Blue Jays have some very, very good pitchers on their staff, but I think Junior is a guy who, for years to come, is going to be a special player in this league.

I think it's the ups and downs and just the ups and downs of also a young big leader.

The league is going to make adjustments to you in terms of the patterns, how they throw, what they throw, and it was up to Chandler to adjust.
