I do want to move it on to...
There's a bit of an out-half conundrum, not just for the rest of the season, and there's a new out-half conundrum starting next summer.
I'm sure it wouldn't have been in the plan for Ciarán Frawley to have to come on and try rescue the game after 43 minutes and arguably be Leinster's best player over the course of the eight.
I think Joe McCarthy might run him close.
He was excellent on the day.
But just a really tough one for Harry Byrne.
He had a tough day in the semi-final.
Like the intercept, I know at that stage they're kind of chasing the game and stuff like that.
And it's got a bit loose at that stage.
But even there was the restart after the first or second Bordeaux try, which goes away.
It's more than a year since Ciarán Frawley started a game for Leinster at out half, April 2025.
Leo Cullen was asked about Frawley after the game.
He was frustrated to see him lose.
It's obviously not an ideal situation to be bringing on essentially a third choice out half.
Well, third choice at the start of the season out half.
Leo Cullen makes the point we really, really wanted to keep Ciarán Frawley.
It wasn't our decision to let him go.
We made him an offer we desperately wanted to keep him.
The best way to keep Kieran Frawley at Leinster would be to give him the occasional game at out half.
Not make him wait 13 months and then send him on to try salvage a Champions Cup final when you're 28 points down.
