He got drafted in, called up essentially because Leinster were in the middle of injuries and players unavailable from Ireland internationals and the like.
He was brought in on a short-term contract.
Then when the injuries piled up, he was retained even longer.
He ends up starting a URC final.
Okay, the Leinster scrum came under a bit of pressure, but nowhere near the pressure we thought they were going to come under.
It wasn't an issue at all in the game.
He's now joining Connacht next season on a full professional deal.
Six, seven months ago, he was working for Vodafone as a salesperson.
And now here he is playing in the URC final and winning a medal.
It's an incredible achievement, isn't it?

He'll finish out the last year of his contract and that'll bring him up to 12 years in charge.
I had a feeling something was up on Saturday evening in his press conference when he said he really appreciated all the media turning out on Friday night.
I thought he was getting a little bit wistful or something like that, you know.
But anyway, all jokes aside, he has won a Champions Cup, six URC titles as head coach, three Champions Cups, four URCs and a Challenge Cup as a player.
That's 15 trophies for Leinster.
That's all 15 trophies Leinster essentially have won.
I've had Leo Cullen's fingerprints on them in some way or another.
