He recalled having it at the airport prior to departure in Peru, so he was certain at least that he hadn't left it behind along with his watch.
So began the irritating process of ripping through every conceivable inch of his apartment, looking in every possible nook and cranny within the hopes of finding his lost phone.
Signing into his account on his laptop in the hopes of using the Find My Phone feature, he was doubly annoyed to find not only that he couldn't access the service, but that he was unable to even log into his account at all, with the system bouncing it back, stating it had no records of such a login.
His first day back, it seemed, was destined now to be a massive hassle, as was the working world in general.
He sighed, then groaned, and sighed again, realizing he'd need first to go to the mobile shop and sort it out in person, but then, feeling a slight tinge of relief as he remembered he would not need to return to work until the next day.
This at least left him free to attend to his errands and decompress a bit more after such an exotic excursion.
As he continued rifling through every possible location for his missing phone, the apartment buzzer sounded, announcing the arrival of a guest.
Through the intercom, Tim spoke.
"'Hello?'
"'Hey,' Amanda said through the speaker.'
Yeah, hold on.
Didn't have my alarm.
I'll be right down, Tim replied.
slightly more irked that he'd slept so much of the day away.
Taking a moment to check one last time, he shrugged, assuming he'd find his phone later, then grabbing his keys and wallet, slipped out into the hall and took the stairs downwards, joining Amanda at the front door.
He was surprised when he arrived to see that Kenny was not with her.
With fashion, he may likely have had work today.
Just us today?
Tim asked, as the daughter was building clothes behind him
Uh, yeah, unless you had someone you wanted to invite in mind, Amanda replied.
