While the US has been preoccupied by the war with Iran, it's also been assessing its relationship with its European partners.
Now, the US Defence Secretary, Pete Hegseth, has announced a review of America's relationship with its NATO allies within six months.
He warned that some countries will fail and others will pass with flying colours.
Speaking at a meeting of NATO defence ministers in Brussels, Mr Hegseth said European nations in the alliance must move fast to take primary responsibility for the defence of the continent.
