Every single day, I write an article called the SB Roundup that goes over every single starting pitcher every night.

Like, this is how I do what I do.

I just need to know what everyone threw, and I can talk about it and understand their narrative for the year.

And Casey Mize is someone who has been sitting around 93-95 this year.

He's had two hints on the aisle already.

And two starts ago, his lowest velocity was 93.1 on his fastball.

And in the last start, he sat 92.

And his minimum was 90 and change.

That is a highly concerning thing to me.

I have not heard anything about an injury or whatever because I would imagine trying to deal him.

and if he's not starting tonight i would imagine that the tigers would actually want to start him before dealing him to confirm that there isn't a problem and the fact that he's not starting might not be that it's a trade it might be that he's hurt i hope that's not the case i hope i'm being really stupid sometimes there are games or guys just don't have their velocity for whatever reason

But who knows?

I would be careful if I were a team going after Casey Mize.

I think that he's done a lot to improve.

His slider has been the golden strike pitch that he's searched for for years.

And he's had just so many injuries this year that have prevented him from really getting into that rhythm that I know he can get into and be really dominant.

But I'm so curious how this lands.

I hope he's okay.

I hope he's getting traded and hope some team just loves it.

Oh, I mean, so here's an interesting conversation to have about the trade deadline.
