You have this year with Foster Griffin doing this.

You have Matthew Boyd as it.

You have Andrew Abbott succeeding with it.

So many pitchers did this.

Noah Cameron.

And...

It's a little disheartening to see that Quinn Matthews is really just four-seamer, sinker, and slider at this point.

He does have a changeup.

He threw seven in his last AAA start across 93 pitches.

I'm going to be looking for that changeup.

I feel that lefties essentially in the same way that all right-handers pretty much should have a slider.

You need to have a changeup.

It is the number one nullifier against right-handers.

You're going to see a ton of right-handers.

And it's going to be a game where he's going to be throwing four-seamers and sinkers plenty with that slider trying to be back foot to right-handers.

But I don't really think that he can be super consistent against right-handers without that changeup or even like a cutter getting inside to right-handers.

So I'm not super enthused at the moment.

because I feel like there needs to be a little bit more than Arsenal to become the guy that I want Quinn Matthews to be.

At the same time, it is a really good situation.
