You know, one of the hardest things we see in our work is when, you know, the mums are like, no, I've got to go.

I want a new life.

I don't want to be in this relationship anymore.

But the kids might have different ideas and different thoughts and feelings that they're trying to process depending on their age.

And, you know, the mums we work with are under enormous pressure when their kids are saying, mum, take me home.

I don't want to be here.

I hate it here.

You know, I want to be at my old school with my old friends, with my favourite teacher.

I want my bike.

I want my toys.

I want my own bed, you know.

And it's a very strong mum who can kind of withstand that pressure from their kids.

I mean, sometimes it's different.

You know, sometimes the kids are angry with their mum because she didn't leave sooner.

But all of the kids have got their own big feelings and experiences around this.

And it's a lot for any one person to navigate.

You can't do it by yourself.
