Because I think, you know, when I was that age, I wasn't able to do those things.
And there's a lot of healing in that.
But yeah, I look back now and I just think I was an absolute baby trying to navigate all this and trying to navigate it by myself.
She keeps it real with me.
She keeps me pretty grounded.
But yeah, no, I adore her and she's the absolute best.
And yeah, we're so lucky now to just have a family that stand together against violence.
And yeah, it's going to be great to just see without those experiences in her life and
in my kids lives what else becomes possible for them and you know that's the possibility that we want for everyone right across the community you know a life with violence even though we can recover from these experiences and we keep healing it does hold us back in so many ways but you know we want everyone to be able to meet their full potential in life and
and enjoy life and experience happiness and joy and, yeah, just grow and learn.
Yeah, that safety's got to be the foundation, right?
Like, that's the springboard to all the other good stuff.
So, yeah, if we can get more safe homes for everyone, we'll be doing well.
That it could be anyone.
Yeah, I think it could be anyone.
And I think one of the disturbing bits for me sometimes is like this lack of belief in women.
Like sometimes, you know, in the media you'll see, oh, she's lying or whatever.
That one always really throws me.
I think we've got to believe survivors.
We've got to believe the testimony of women.
