Sometimes the stories, I've been doing this work for a long time.

I've got a lived experience myself.

And sometimes the stories I hear even are just like deeply shocking and, I mean, almost unbelievable stories.

And I believe them.

But they're extraordinary, you know.

So I understand that sometimes people feel a bit like, really?

Did this happen?

But yes, it did.

And to anyone.

Absolutely.

But we've got to believe survivors, you know, and it starts from taking it seriously and believing women and standing with them for change.

Change is possible.

We don't have to accept domestic violence as this kind of thing in our community that we don't know how to solve.

We can solve it if we all stand together, the right investment is there.

This is an issue that we can really make progress on and can change.

No one deserves to live with violence.

Safe futures for everyone is actually possible.

And let's not give up.
