Where Jono Gibbs has got the ability to make the difference is now.
Because the Chiefs have, as I'm sure we are going to talk about, fallen at the final hurdle repeatedly.
Now, this is a guy that has been involved in high-level competitions in Europe, has tasted success, knows what it takes to make deep runs in long seasons.
Like Jono was talking to us the other day, and he was talking about some of the campaigns he's been involved with, where there's been 38 games.
Now, let's say the Chiefs get to the final.
Even if we just look at them playing this Friday night, I think that when you take in preseason games, I think that's about their 18th game.
So straight away, it's half.
So he actually knows what it's like to manage over a long period of time, different competitions.
This is quite a short run for him.
So I think this is the time of the year where he's going to make his money because the Chiefs have done what I think a lot of people expected them to do.
But now is where I think some people will be looking for Jono Gibbs to make his difference.
But he's been very...
consistent.
He's been very calm.
He's very measured.
You can ask him questions and he'll take the time to think about it.
He gives some great responses.
He can be feisty when he wants to be, if he feels as though a question isn't fair or balanced.
