So they don't appear a lot.

They appear enough for me to talk about my journey, but not about them.

But, but I did have to share that with them.

And that was, um, you know, it was, it was, it was hard because it's stuff you wouldn't normally tell your kids.

But it was necessary, and they've received it.

They're just amazing adults, and I'll leave it at that.

Their story is always their story to tell.

And as far as being in a community, yeah, it was a risk, but I live in a beautiful town with beautiful people, and I have beautiful friends.

the feedback has been incredible.

And I worried a little bit.

I worried about the parents that have watched me be a mom, a PTA mom, have the sleepovers, do the things and, you know, then be like, oh my God.

And some of them were like, why the fuck didn't you tell me?

You know, it was like, because, you know, I wasn't going to come to a PTA meeting and be like, by the way, you know, I was in prison or I got to get out of here because I got to go, you know, pee in a cup for a parole and probation officer.

So, you know, I held back on a lot, but

When I rolled the dice and told the story, I've been met with open arms.

And it's just been incredible.

It was.

It was all healing and in different ways and in different levels and in ways I didn't expect.

I thought that writing the book was going to be the hardest.

And in fact, it wasn't the hardest.
