Checking in matters, especially for those living with chronic migraine.
Not just once, not just when the struggle is new or the story is at its most dramatic, but later, months later, years later, or even on a random day when life is still happening between work calls and that third load of laundry.
Because life doesn't pause, not for anything.
And living with a chronic condition means that you are constantly adjusting, constantly recalibrating, always trying to figure out what today or even the next hour is going to look like.
That's why in the first episode of season four, we are doing just that.
We're checking back in.
Today, you'll hear from Priya Rama and Qasim Amin Nathari, two friends that we met in earlier seasons.
If you've been with us since the beginning, you might remember Priya from season one.
Priya found a way to make life more manageable and maybe even more enjoyable through her incredible creativity.
You also might remember Qasim, who spoke to us so openly about stigma and about the importance of creating space for honest conversations about chronic migraine, especially for Black men who may not always feel empowered to speak up about their health struggles.
We wanted to know what's changed, what's stayed the same, but mostly we wanted to know how they're doing.
Because community isn't just about showing up.
Community is about staying connected and reminding each other,
You aren't alone.
We're still here.
We're still listening.
So if you're new, welcome.
And if you've been here since the beginning, thank you.
Either way, this community could not exist without you.
But before we talk to them, I want to bring in someone who has been with us through it all and can really speak to the importance of staying connected, particularly to your provider.
