Jones then answering questions in court truthfully, which he denied.
The court was presented with extensive text messages between this witness and Alan Jones.

Amanda, not only did the text messages that were read out in court show the fondness that this witness had for Jones, but we also heard of some messages where this witness expressed a strong disdain for Sydney Morning Herald investigative journalist Kate McClymont, who of course broke the story of these allegations against Jones.
Can you unpack what
he said to the court about what he thought of Kate McClymon.
Uh at one point the the prosecutor put it to him directly that you viewed the reporting of sexual allegations against the defendant as unfairly targeting him, didn't you?
And the witness responded, yes, because I don't believe that they're true.
Yes.
He said it was a bullshit witch hunt.
So Amanda, this witness couldn't recall being at the lunch.
C's evidence was that he made a comment.
And remember we also got evidence from Jason Morrison about some of the kind of banter that that was had at that at that time.
And during cross examination of this witness, Georgina Wright asked him, Do you remember
Making the comment about copying a feel, he said no.
Do you remember and then um any jokes about romantic attention?
His answer was no.
Any jokes about the pair looking like a couple and uh or anything of that nature, and he also responded no to that.
That witness was was on the stand for a while, Amanda, but the trial also heard evidence from a number of other witnesses.
