And I believe, and he believes, that he's dead now, but we both believed, we did a video on it before he died,
that we got an extra 28 years out of Dad, as in him being here and being alive because of him being retired.
This is actually something that people often wonder about.
But the reality is, if you take your money and you invest it, and you invest it in fund XYZ, when you invest your pension, you can invest in fund XYZ, the exact same fund.
So the question isn't about being risk averse or not, whether you go into pension or you go into investment.
It's a question of whether you do it yourself or you get somebody to do it for you.
And it's about the tax and using the tax system to your advantage.
That's what it comes down to.

But what I would say here is, the first thing is, if you're going to be out of work next year, you're not going to use all your tax credits.
So therefore, you do apply the tax credits to your husband.
And depending on what salary he's on will determine whether or not that's a huge benefit or of no benefit at all.
If he's on more than, let's round the number to 45 grand, if he's on more than 45 grand a year, it'll probably make more sense.
It'll do some benefit to you that you give him your tax credits for the year you're not using them.
