But that's the reason why the battery management system will slow that down rapidly.

You won't necessarily see that if you're charging at home.

So for people who have home chargers,

It's it's the device is always really charged 80 percent unless you really need that range.

But if you're going to do it, it's better at a home charger, which which just generates less heat.

Its heat is the issue.

So fast chargers generate a huge amount of heat and heat is really the enemy of batteries longevity.

Yeah, I think people have got into, especially people who are new to EVs, have got still that little bit of range anxiety.

So they don't necessarily like that feeling of seeing the battery deplete.

But there's a couple of reasons why they should.

Obviously, we've said, look, it's the longevity of the battery.

But also...

in terms of the range that you're adding from 80% to 100%, it tends to be very little.

So look, look at the range, look at the journey that you're on, be honest with yourself.

Obviously, if you have a home charger, try and leave on 100% because that charger is always going to be the cheapest.

Like if you consider that 10% to 80% on an ESB, one might cost you €40 and you might be €63 to charge to 100%.

So with overstay fees and with increased costs,

Charging to 100% on a fast charger is expensive, if nothing else, but also for the reasons outlined.

But look, it's an etiquette thing as well in terms of letting people get on their way.

People are nervous, anxious, trying to get on their way.
