Charge to 80% and then off you go.
Well, the idling fees are there, but maybe they're not big enough.
But also, I would say that maybe in some of the fast chargers now that they'll need to start cutting them off at 80 percent because.
They could be.
In a lot of cases, you know, you can obviously set that with the car itself, but a lot of the fast chargers don't do that.
But I've seen instances of it.
I drive an EV, I drive up and down to Cork all the time.
There's lots of people who plug in, go off and have their food and dinner and do whatever else and, you know, aren't overly worried about the overstay fee.
So I think maybe they need to get stingier to stop people hugging the charging points.
I've seen them.
Yeah.
It is an issue.
And I think it is a lot of cases down to the forecourt operators, because there's one particular one in Fonmoy which really bothers me.
It's because they've put all of the charging points outside the McDonald's and everyone just who can't be bothered walking too far.
Just leaves their cars in the EV charging spots and goes into the McDonald's and has their bite to eat.
No, but I mean, if a load of EV drivers just left their cars in the petrol forecourt and walked off for half an hour, I think they'd be out for hours.
So, yeah.
So look, what's happening is the forecourt operators are having to put the charging points further and further back from the shop.
And you'll often see people having to walk a much further distance away because it's been an issue for a long time.
I think early on when EVs were a bit of a novelty, it was maybe a bit more of an issue.
