You know, the you know, that Monarchy tanga kind of thing.

So uh there was we went to one village which had been decimated, and I uh I've got a photo that hopefully you might be able to put up.

But there was a grandmother, uh Nepalese grandmother, and um she was standing in the front of the ruins of her home, which had been in her home for five generations, and she was in her eighties, I think, you know, and uh I was talking to her about it, and you know, she was just obviously she was devastated.

And then when

wrapped up the interview, she said to me, Um, have you had lunch?

You know, she made us she made us lunch out of the ruins of her home.

You know, and I I did a story about this and it went everywhere.

It was um it was one of those stories that got picked up in terms of the Nepalese way.

And you know, I mean I've gone to a lot of terrible, terrible places I've got to say.

Uh, but sometimes you you get the most ama amazing moments of lightness and and and and and humans being really decent and good people and you know, like that was one of them.

Crazy little story though from from covering that earthquake.

So we get over there and uh there's just nowhere to stay, you know, and and there's one decent hotel and that's Chocker, as you can imagine.

It's also next to where we needed to feed out our our material and our live crosses.

So it's next to the live truck.

So me and my cameraman we basically lived in the foyer of the hotel for about three days.

And I know that the h the hotel manager had his suspicions after about day one or day two and we were just like careful to just not always be in there but it had electricity so we could you know, we could um edit our stuff and you know, would go come and go at different times.

And then I think on the third morning uh he caught me in the the bathrooms of the foyer having a shave, getting ready to do my life cross.

It was like, what the It's just like the movie, um

the one where the guys Yeah, turns all just pretending not to be living there.

It was a bit like that.
