It turns out there was no plan.
And so do you trust him when he says, well, May 31st, when lawmakers convene on their final day for this session, if nothing happens, then they're going to Hammond.
It looks like Mayor Johnson and some of these Chicago senators are calling their bluff.
They believe that it's a bluff.
Obviously, Pappas believes that it's a bluff.
I don't think the governor fully believes it's a bluff because the governor has wanted to get this past the finish line now.
Ever since that Hammond play came into the picture, the governor switched his tune and said, let's get it done.
And Cam Buckner, who you've had on the show many times, said, let's get it done.
So, you know, you've got the Chicago mayor here exerting what little muscle he has down there.
to, to, to try and stop it.
And it's been successful.
They've gummed it up and they, they seem to think that the bears are just going to like, let it then languish for another cycle next year.
And then maybe the longer this lasts, the more they think maybe Chicago, a site in the city, the Michael Reese site, isn't so bad.
They've, they keep saying officially they've closed the door on all that.
It's just Hammond and Arlington Heights, but clearly the Chicago people don't believe that.
And again,
look, if the Bears aren't bluffing, then the egg is on their face, you know, because they're just they're fully in on the fact that the Bears are bluffing and they might not be.
I'm not fully in that they're bluffing, but they're making this risk here.
