So that day, I had a friend who kept on inviting me to another church in the big city.

Mostly the Presbyterian church we were in were mostly nominal Christians playing safe with God, so to speak.

But there was this other vibrant Pentecostal church with a young preacher that was in the big city.

and everybody was trying to invite me to attend and I wouldn't because I had a wrong thinking process.

There was a misnomer in my life.

Tell me what that was.

That the closer you get to God,

the more God takes away your wealth from you.

So if you want to be rich, stay away from God.

That was what I had in mind.

Well, because I thought that God...

The fear of God.

I had a wrong concept about the fear of God.

My father never thought like that.

But I don't know why I got that idea.

Because most of the guys around my father were all very, very successful.

I mean, all the big names.

I don't know why I had that misnomer.

Someone planted that dog seed.

So I thought that if I want to be successful, I shouldn't get too close because I will have to be too holy and too righteous and maybe inactive or whatever, whatever.
