Talking History with Patrick Gagan.
This is News Talk.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.
250 years ago, Thomas Jefferson and others changed the world by writing the American Declaration of Independence, and few words have shaped modern politics more profoundly.
Good evening and welcome.
We're Talking History on Newstalk 106 to 108 with me, Patrick Gagan.
In tonight's show, 250 Years On, we're going to explore the impact and legacy of the American Declaration of Independence in the United States and around the world.
And we'll explore whether the vision of a new world based on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness was ever achievable.
You can send us your thoughts and comments to talkinghistoryatnewstalk.com and we'd love to hear from you.
