I've made the decision to be away from my parents.

I've made the decision to develop this life here.

And then all of a sudden I formed a relationship within having these habits as well and playing the game of all that.

Like ways of explaining it was like,

I'm not going to generalize because New Zealanders, a lot of them can be quieter than our nationalities and my relationship, my partner's family would have been quieter than I was.

It was said at one stage I was the comedic relief.

So I would have been quite bubbly, laughter.

But of course, there probably would have been something in me as well to pick me up on that edge as well, to be able to be that comedic relief.

Because if I was sitting there and I felt that quietness around the table,

I'd feel like I couldn't sit in quietness.

I never could.

No, because it just made me feel so uncomfortable.

And that's the thing, like, that was a lot of my issue as well, is that I just couldn't, I couldn't understand it.

I was like, I have to fill this void or this person's thinking something about me.

It was just this constant of tearing myself apart like that.

Performing nearly.

Yeah, it was, basically.

To be liked.

Yeah.

Because, like, it's... I don't know.
