They're not making the decision strictly because of the pandemic, but it's certainly good timing on their part.
There's a couple of factors at work.
The online MBA has been a degree that's been gaining traction for a few years now.
Initially, top programs kind of balked at the idea, but in the last decade, that number has more than doubled.
And some new programs joined this year.
Howard Wake Forest, John Carroll University, a variety of schools have started adding online MBAs, a lot of them in the spring, some in the summer.
And what they're seeing this year with the pandemic is just a huge increase in interest in these programs from students.

Schools with existing online MBAs saw spikes in enrollment this year.
They're bringing in more students.
And some of that is just because people have developed more of a taste for being online.
We've been working online now for months and faculty have training online.
Students are becoming more accustomed to it.
And there's also the element that some international students can't travel to a physical university.
So it's just
it's blown up in a lot of places.
And schools that have been considering it for a while are now thinking that this is probably good timing.
