But if you know somebody, they're often still serving booze as well and kind of meeting that local neighborhood need.
And that's the big thing about prohibition, right?
It's like people didn't stop drinking.
If anything, what the people who ended up studying this period of time realized, even, you know, as prohibition was still in effect, is it seems like drinking actually increased
during the years that it was illegal.
And there's also a big shift too, in that, you know, before prohibition goes into effect, like a place like a saloon, that's like a guys only kind of place, right?
It's like men who are doing most of the drinking, not to say that women weren't drinking at this time, but you know, not out in public and not in the same ways.
