When we talk about the most cherished part of the Constitution, many people will say the First Amendment, right?

That's the one that gives us free speech.

And we miss that the word amendment being in there signals to us that it wasn't part of the original text of the Constitution.

It's an amendment.

It's something they had to add on after.

So is the Second Amendment.

I mean, all of them, by definition, right?

So we shouldn't be afraid of that kind of thing.

It's only by an amendment that we get to pick who our senators are.

Before that, it was the legislature.

Same thing for making sure that Black voters and the women could be voters.

We shouldn't be afraid to use maybe the most elegant feature of the entire Constitution, which is that it has a process to change it.

we should use it.

All of the things I've mentioned are these kind of system reforms.

They're about the engine.

So then the policies, what comes out of the engine, like do we get paid family leave in this country?

Do we have fair taxes?

Is there a healthcare system that gets everybody healthcare?

All that stuff is decided by a government that works better.

Very intelligent.
