She was on a talent show called Opportunity Knox in American Idol.
She got voted on and survived week after week and became the winner.
Paul Twiggy actually, our friend Twiggy, the supermodel at the time when there were really only one supermodel and was only one supermodel.
And it was her.
And she called Paul to tell him that you should turn on this television to watch this girl.

We all watched her.
We loved her.
I think Derek Taylor and I and somebody else were dispatched to Wales to sign Mary where she lived.

And he said, I want to do that song with Mary.
