So in 2003, he started franchising.

And to fast forward to 2010, that there were these two brothers who saw one of the units operating in Austin, Texas, and said, Oh my gosh, this is exactly what I've been looking for.

And though they sat down and they knew

negotiated to acquire the concept.

And then the Joint Corp, which is the company I work for, was formed.

And in March of 2010, there were eight units of record.

So nineteen ninety nine, two thousand ten, eight units.

That's not franchising.

And while he was a great doctor and he had a brilliant idea, I'm gonna tell you, he was a lousy franchiseur.

He wasn't at all involved in the IFA.

He was trying to figure it out on his own.

He didn't understand anything about what the business model of franchise required, even how to structure a contract properly.

So now, fast forward, so in 2010, they put in a franchise system, and that uh when we went public in November of 2014, less than four years.

later there were two hundred and forty two franchise units on the ground in operation.

That's franchise.

So that's the story of how we got started.

And of course now we're we're we're over six hundred units operating in thirty four states.

Well and and I the way I would describe that stands back to this concept of concept versus methodology is that he got the concept down.

He knew Car Practice.

I mean, he was a doctor.
