It doesn't go to the doctor at all.
The doctor-patient relationship is a sacred one.
It really is, and it should be honored as such.
The moment you put a third-party pay in the middle of that relationship,
You are interrupting a very important relationship that needs to be there, whether you're building trust, whether there's vulnerability on both sides.
You're trying to build integrity in this relationship, and now you're adding somebody who's only concerned about the dollars and cents.
That should not be the motivation.
The motivation of most doctors, most of my students, yes, they want to make a good living, but the motivation is to be in service.

So one of the unique things about the program that I have at Life West is the entire last year of the program for my students is done online.
And during that time, they can actually be in a chiropractor's office.
So they work as a preceptor underneath the license of a chiropractor who's been approved by the college and has the necessary requirements and insurance and all the other stuff.
But the students reach the point within their program here that they become proficient in our clinic in seeing patients, being able to deliver chiropractic care.
They've learned the aspects of our philosophy and communication and all of those skills.
They've understood all the protocols necessary to be able to be a safe, good practitioner.
under the laws in the United States and virtually every state in the union.
And now they get to go into an office and actually see a functional office and see how do they actually do a new patient orientation when a person comes in?
How do they get a family under care?
How do they build their fee systems?
How do they market their practice?
