Due to a number of serendipitous things that happened in my life, I said, maybe this is the next chapter of my life.

So I left practice, worked as an administrator for a year, and then the president announces his retirement.

And I walk into his office, WTF.

And he says, well, you got to do what I got to do.

He had this personal reason that he retired.

And the board then asked me if I would take over.

Here I am.

So it's an exciting place to be able to influence the next generation of health care providers.

I feel as though our health care system has a lot of healing that it needs and our world has a lot of healing that it needs.

And I feel as though I do have a skill set that can inspire and create a program that really meets the needs of our culture in health care.

So how are you influencing culture?

The model of practice has really shifted.

When I graduated, probably about 80% of graduates would be going into private practice.

Many would associate for a year or two, but their goal was to get into private practice.

Maybe about 20% would do other things, working as associates or part of multi-clinics and things.

But there's been a huge shift, and I don't have the exact metrics on it, but more and more people are part of franchises.

There are a number of franchises that exist now

They provide chiropractic care in various models throughout the country.

One of them I was actually with the CEO yesterday of The Joint.
