It's a very, very large franchise.
They have, I think, close to a thousand offices across the country, offer millions and millions of spinal adjustments that are given to people.
So that is a model that's grown.
Collaborative practices, integrated practices are much, much more evident today than ever before.
I'd say the majority still is very much sole proprietorship.
But if I had to venture a guess, it's probably around 40% right now, 40, 50% of my graduates will go into private practice.
If not immediately after, but within the next four or five years after they get out.
When I talk about shifting the paradigm of healthcare, I first come down to the consumer level.
I believe that people are looking for something different than typically has been happening in the healthcare system.
Our system has been a disease care system, not a healthcare system.
A person doesn't necessarily go to a doctor until they have a problem, an ache, pain, problem.
that doesn't seem to go away, or they see blood in the urine, or they cough or something, and they're afraid that something's happened to their body.
And they go to the doctor, and then the doctor offers a diagnosis, names the condition, and then offers a treatment for it.
Over time, enlarged that framework to be accepting of alternative modalities, you know, doing something different than pharmaceuticals or surgical interventions to try to be a more conservative way to take care of health problems.
But it's really the same paradigm.
You're still treating something when you see that it's broken.
And I feel now more than ever, people are recognizing that we need to do things to nurture the well-being and vitality of the body, that we need to take care of our bodies, and that healthcare providers can be utilized not just to treat conditions when they come up, but actually can be your coach and consultant for optimizing health, well-being of your body.
The practice of medicine has been drug surgeries, and that's what they do.
There have been many alternative modalities, such as massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, that sort of interface with that world of being a natural modality.
But many of these healthcare services do more than just treat problems.
