I think very often people aren't listened to.
The doctor typically says, okay, what's the diagnosis?
Let me figure out how to treat that.
I think part of true healthcare is allowing a person to feel heard and then allowing the chiropractor to then educate that person and effectively communicate their perspective, what they can do to offer them in terms of better health and well-being, and ultimately allow that person to look inside themselves and say, what's the right thing for me?
I'm not on the outside to tell you what you should do as much as to be the person outside of you to inspire you to look on your insides and pay attention.
What do I need to do for me?
And it may be to do something on a physical level.
It may be to do something on a psycho-emotional level.
It may be to do something in terms of a lifestyle level.
It may be something to do in terms of a communication level.
But you're the only one that can make those decisions to find that degree of congruence inside of you.
But I want my caregivers, my chiropractors, to be able to help coach you in that and be the support that you need in that, as well as providing chiropractic care.
Because I know that if the spine is optimally aligned, that gives you the greatest resources to do everything in your life better.
Where does insurance fit into this?
It doesn't.
Insurance was really built to handle things when a crisis occurs.
I mean, insurance industry, I believe it began back in the farming industry.
Because if the farmers had a bad year with weather, then it could totally cripple a farm.
The insurance started to happen so that farmers could all contribute money so that if one of their brother's sister's farmers has a bad year, that it would give them enough money so they could keep their head above water.
Then it started with life insurance.
