Everybody wants their costs of living to go down.
Everybody wants prices to be lower because if prices are lower, you can buy more stuff.
Most people don't have an unlimited amount of money, but they do have an unlimited amount of desires.
People want all kinds of things.
And the cheaper stuff is, the more we can have.
And so AI has the potential to make the things that we want and need a lot less expensive.
That's a good thing.
Tariffs, on the other hand, do the opposite.
Tariffs make the things that we want more expensive.
It's not inflationary, but it is going to increase the prices of a lot of the things that we want to buy.
And so AI is good, tariffs are bad.
Now, of course,
The government needs revenue.
So are tariffs the worst way for the government to raise revenue?
No, I think the income tax is the worst way.
The inheritance tax, the payroll tax, there are a lot worse taxes than tariffs.
But what I didn't like about the president's tariffs is, A, I didn't like them being sold as if we didn't have to pay it.
Like, hey, this is a tax on China.
This is a tax on Canada or Mexico.
That was bullshit.
