You know, because the only thing he could do is dramatically increase interest rates and contract the money supply, which he's not going to do.

He said many occasions that inflation is a choice, which it is.
We don't have to choose inflation.
But if we don't choose inflation, then by default, we're choosing something else.
And it's avoiding that other choice that is the reason that everybody chooses inflation.

AI has the potential to increase productivity, which would result in more stuff at lower prices.
That's a good thing.
That's not deflation.
Well, deflation is a contraction of the money supply, just like inflation is an expansion.
But yes, a lot of people think of deflation as falling prices, but I don't like to call it deflation because for some reason, deflation has a bad connotation to it.
but it's not.
A lower cost of living is a good thing.
