So that pass through won't be complete.
So goods price, you know, increases of of of of uh averaging around fifteen percent in some cases won't be fully passed through to other prices.
You kind of put it all together and I come up with a price level effect over time, over maybe a year or so of about two or three percent.
Uh so that's
You'd say, Well that doesn't matter.
Well it it does 'cause it would take inflation from two per cent to five percent, let's say, over twenty.
that that that calculation is across the board.
I'm assuming he does his ten percent on everyone else and does sixty per So basically the current tariff on China's averaging about twenty percent, and the current tariff on everyone else averages about three percent.
So really he's talking about a tripling in effective tariffs across the board.

I I would say I would you know, you say, Well, that's great because everyone's wages will go up.
Uh which sort of true.
Uh and that's you you don't think that'll add more to inflation.
So I you know, I think we're we're dealing with a a very big experiment, a very grand experiment.
Um, that you know, frankly, is also incredibly what we economists would call incredibly regressive.
And here's the irony, 'cause most of its supporters are uh, you know, low income
lesser educated uh folks in the economy.
Not not just whites, but broader broader than that.
And these are the people who are actually going to get hurt the most by the fiscal actions of his policies.
You know, this is a very regressive tax
