Right. 'Ca and 'cause of the old argument
that you know Yeah, and it it's not you know, it's an old argument, but it actually it's an incredibly compelling argument.
And and there are many countries and I I I think Australia's one of them.
where, you know, there were regimes of protection and belief that you could build local industry through, you know, making sure that it was a high barrier around it and everyone would you know, it would be an infant industry that would eventually grow up and be much healthier.
You just foster inefficiency.

Yeah, and and and for every case study like Japan where there was that
you know, you might call success, there were multiple other failures, you know, India being a great example, you know, where the Raj regime or whatever, the red tape regime was, you know, based around protectionism and India
essentially stagnated for 40 years or so until they uh liberalized.
You know, it's that's a pretty clear story.
That's true of most East Asian economies.
So I mean that I I well we don't have are many case studies of going the countries going the other way.
And obviously the US is is is is is is doing that.
