One of them was uh the relative weakness of service pricing compared to goods pricing.
So, you know, when everyone says, Ah, the tariffs are yet to show up in the numbers, um, they sort of are in a on a sort of one for one basis, although so far not that many have actually been levied.
There's a lot of talk and you know, the action's been less.
But what's really happened is goods pricing has firmed up quite quite appreciably in some cases.
Um, you know, especially for some of these sort of as you mentioned earlier, these high value products, not cars, but you know, furniture and uh and and and consumer durables, consumer bike goods and stuff like that.
But
Pricing has weakened in services.
Nothing to do with trade.
It it something has happened in the domestic economy that's caused service pricing to soften.
Now that could just be fluke, it could just be noise.
But I think there's something going on here with a little bit of weakness on the consumer side, especially as you emphasised, at the lower end of the spectrum.
Yeah, I mean there's some of that.
Um, I think in themselves the the the profits, the margins that are getting squeezed are not the big companies, but further down the s the scale.
So sort of mom and pop
Operations which you know feeds into the consumer sector as much as
Yeah.
So I think there's some of that going on.
But uh but in addition, um, you know, we're obviously seeing uh the threat of not necessarily the enactment of so far, but the threat of some pretty regressive fiscal policies.
And I think my impression at least is that's causing s a little bit of caution, you know, a little bit of a I mean
the way it shows up in the numbers is a little bit of a rise in the saving rate as is is
