So it's probably, I would have said at a certain point, it would have been harder to be a defender now with the new rules because it's 3v3 up front, but the ball doesn't get kicked in that much.

So when you look at- Has that surprised you?

Well, it's hard to do it.

Like, no, like, I mean, Dublin done it really well against Galway, but they found it very hard against Kerry.

I think there's a couple of things that's come from the evolution of the game, whereas when teams started to do the low block, we had teams that didn't have footballers that could kick the ball, because it was carry the ball, move the ball through the hand.

And then there's also times in the game where momentum is shifting that you don't want to give the ball away or you don't want to, you know, it's a 70-30 ball.

I don't, if you look at all your teams in the count, in the top five teams even, how many of them actually have kickers?

Like I can tell you, one sticks out for me in Dublin is Niall Scully, right?

I think possibly then you have Brian Howard out of 15 players that can kick the ball like.

It's just not built into them.

When I was playing, I kicked the ball, David Connolly kicked the ball, Paul Flynn kicked the ball, Keanu Sullivan kicked the ball.

Where you're coming out of an evolution of don't kick the ball.
