I appreciate all the efforts and I agree with Supervisor Sainz that multiple paths, we got to take every path we can at this point.
As I said, other jurisdictions have leaned on the fact that they're working on regulations and ordinances for such development to pause processing of applications and even acceptance of applications.
I think it's time to pause, take back control and
allow the data center standards and locations phase two to be complete.
After watching what some other jurisdictions have done, and I'm happy to provide my research to the county attorney, although he's very capable of finding out the jurisdictions that have done it, but I found Fluvanna, Suffolk,
Suffolk City Council and Front Royal Town Council.
And there's probably a couple others out there.
I just want to have the discussion and I'm honestly ready to test the waters.
I think that there are many folks that could argue and I don't know if it will hold up in a court of law, but our community thinks we're in a crisis and
And we have questions about our water supply, our air quality, and energy issues.
So I appreciate my colleagues' support on this.
And I look forward to the September 15th item coming back to the board.
