Okay, so I'm going to start with number one.

I move that the Board of Supervisors direct staff to return to a future board meeting with the results of a study into potential options for decommissioning any data centers that are fully abandoned to ensure such sites are not left in an abandoned state.

This research should consider diesel generators, battery storage, on-site substations, any associated transmission lines, and other related features that could cause environmental harm if not addressed appropriately.

Eventually, data centers will be obsolete the way they are today with new technologies and innovations.

We don't need the large footprint that we have now in the future.

I'm convinced that we will have other solutions for our data needs.

Looking ahead in the next 20 or 30 years, I believe we need requirements for a decommissioning plan, standards for unsafe or abandoned data centers.
