Having a decommissioning plan for battery energy storage and utility scale solar facilities is what we are doing today, but we don't have a decommissioning plan for data centers.
The physical infrastructure like power and cooling need to be considered, not just the equipment used to store the data.
Fiber distribution lines, substations, diesel generators, HVAC systems, batteries, etc.
These are all the things that I think need to be looked at in a study and also the regulatory requirements governing e-waste and hazardous materials.
And I think it's worthwhile doing this now versus waiting when we have new technologies.
It's worthwhile, it's worth doing it upfront.

Mr. Croney and I have been discussing and researching this idea of decommissioning for a while now and I appreciate the motion and the collaboration.
It's becoming abundantly clear that we are in probably a bubble here and we're already starting to plan on the financial side for when the revenue from data centers starts to level off and maybe even decline.
And we really should be planning as well for the time when big corporations aren't gonna need these buildings anymore.
And these buildings aren't just like big box stores.
The walls in these buildings have all kinds of wiring and fiber inside the walls.
We see them go up and they just look like cement walls, but actually they're really not.
They also require two substations for every single data center, two.
We learned that in our last meeting when staff came back with that report.
So two substations and the power lines required distribution and transmission and all of that.
And also to me, maybe the most terrifying thing is that they have
