And this is something that we've heard a lot from our go-to guy, Mr.
Jerry Carrances.

And the reason is is because it validates your worldview, it kind of increases your chances of mutual liking, and research says it fosters a sense of being understood by a partner.
So let's break it down into maybe some little subsections to help us understand this.
Something I wanted to figure out was does personality similarity matter?

Like looking at my own dating history, I'm like, oh God, like I'm always going for the like the opposite personality, apparently.

Yeah.
And a different energy.
Um, but it turns out some research says that maybe not.
So a huge study using um a bunch of samples from Australia, the UK and Germany involved more than twenty-three thousand married people, found that personality similarity was really not that important in v uh relationships.
And another study done in 2023 with about 1,300 couples found that similarity in both broad personality traits and more specific personality facets was not really associated with relationship satisfaction.
So to put that in simple terms, two introverts, two extroverts, two highly organized people.
It doesn't necessarily automatically make you a better match.
Yeah, I think it's kind of like we want a similar vi life versus we have a very similar personality.
